How long does it take to renew a Nigerian passport?

Standard passport renewals take approximately 6-8 weeks from the date of biometric capture, depending on passport booklet availability. We advise citizens to apply at least 6 months before expiry.

Can I apply for a Nigerian Visa on arrival?

Visa on Arrival (VoA) is primarily available for business travelers, frequent investors, and multinational executives. VoA approval must be obtained online prior to travel; it is not issued automatically at the port of entry without pre-approval.

Do I need to pay for an appointment?

No, booking an appointment slot on our official portal is completely free of charge. You only pay the official consular service fees online during the application process. Beware of unauthorized third parties requesting fees for bookings.
