Application Workflow
Fill Registration Form
Download or obtain the Consular Citizen Registration / Birth Registration form and fill it out completely.
Gather Proof of Citizenship
Collect parent's Nigerian passport data page copies, the child's local birth certificate, and parent's marriage certificate.
Conduct Registration Interview
Schedule and attend a brief consular interview for parent/guardian verification at the embassy.
Receive Consular Certificate
Collect the child's official Consular Birth Certificate or your Citizen Registry ID card once processing is complete.
Processing Guidelines
5 – 10 Working Days depending on the type of application.
